Spare-time Job

Many international students need a job while studying in Denmark.

In Denmark people are allowed to work from the age of 14 and it is quite normal for Danish high-school and university students to have part-time jobs.

Of course you should not expect to have a job in the beginning of your stay, and we strongly advise you to be financially prepared to support yourself even if you do not find a job.

It will always take you some time to find the job and settle everything, especially because you are competing with thousands of other Danish and international students.

We have developed a Job Guide with practical information and tips. You can get the Job Guide in the Student Guidance Centre.

Please note that it is not recommended that you work more than 15 hours per week otherwise you may neglect your studies.
